About Waghoon

A sharper way to find and understand station wagons

Waghoon is an independent editorial discovery and research site for long-roofs. It is not a dealer, marketplace or seller.

What we publish

Dated profiles of interesting wagons found across dealer sites, marketplaces and auctions; evergreen buying guidance; and a structured index for comparing representative wagon configurations.

What earns a place

A wagon may stand out for specification, condition, provenance, usability, price, preservation or cultural importance. “Curated” is an editorial judgment, never a mechanical certification or investment rating.

What we do not claim

Waghoon does not inspect vehicles, guarantee availability, certify seller statements or replace a pre-purchase inspection. Source claims remain attributed to the source that made them.

Why the site exists

Station wagons are scattered across general classifieds, specialty dealers, enthusiast forums and auction platforms. Search results tend to favor the largest marketplaces or the loudest cars. Waghoon exists to make the category legible: surface genuinely interesting examples, explain why each one matters and give buyers enough context to investigate intelligently.

How information is handled

Each listing profile distinguishes the listed vehicle from general model research. Odometer, price, VIN, location, equipment and service claims come from the cited listing or linked documentation. Common-problem sections describe documented model or platform inspection points; they do not assert that the specific vehicle has those faults.

Availability is especially perishable. Every profile shows a status and a last-checked date. A live label means the source appeared available at that check—not that it remains available now. Sold, ended and unverified profiles stay accessible as an archive so links and editorial context do not disappear.

How comparisons work

The Station Wagon Index combines public government data with model-specific research. A row represents a named configuration and model year, not every trim in an entire generation. N/A means a reliable public value was not present in the selected source; Waghoon does not fill gaps with guesses.

Corrections make the work stronger

Listings change, source data can conflict and specifications vary by market. If you find a sold car, incorrect detail, mismatched image or research error, use the correction form. Substantive corrections are evaluated against the underlying source and reflected in the page’s modified date.

Who is behind the research?

Waghoon publishes under an organizational byline. Its guides are desk research: they compare manufacturer documents, public datasets and named source material. They are not hands-on road tests, mechanical inspections or claims of ownership experience.

AI-assisted tools support source collection, drafting, comparison and publishing. The source links and stated limitations matter more than a confident summary; a missing or conflicting value remains a gap to resolve. Readers can use the correction form to report a specific problem with a page.
